Welcome to Michelle’s World
A Gardening Dream in West Virginia
Growing up in Baltimore County, MD, my gardening experiences were limited to visiting a pumpkin farm, my aunt’s horse farm, and the veggie garden at my grandparents’ house. I can remember helping my grandfather pull rocks out of the garden and helping my grandmother snap green beans and shell peas. It may not be what the cool kids do today (or really what they did back in the day, for that matter), but it was fun to me. Fun in the sense that I felt like I was helping and doing a good job.
I never would have guessed that I would have my very own garden in a small town in West Virginia, where I get to share my passion for gardening and create garden-to-table meals. It is an amazing feeling to plant seeds and watch them grow to transform them into nutritious dishes to share with family and friends. And now, I get to share it all with you!

About Me
Outside of the gardening world, I have always been a dog lover from a very young age. There were only a few blips of time throughout my entire life when I did not have a canine companion. As I get older, my dogs seem to get smaller. I have always had medium to large–sized dogs, but then my husband brought pugs into my life, starting with our first pug, Smokey. He was the most mellow dog I have ever had. All he ever wanted was to be with me and lie on my lap.
